Educational Programs

Our educators embrace the pedagogy of the 8 Ways of Learning approach in collaboration with the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework toward your child’s learning, integrating nature-based programs to support your child in reaching learning outcomes across all developmental areas.

We believe in nourishing little brains with rich, hands-on and organic learning experiences, teamed with innovative physical activity and language programs. This is done within an environmentally sustainable environment where friendships will flourish.

We endeavour to guide each child on a journey of learning, experience and success from birth through to formal school engagement, in collaboration with family and community.

Ngarrwa Dja (bush kinder), bush tucker gardens, traditional and contemporary sustainable practices and promotion of a healthy wellbeing will be at the forefront of our educational programs.  Our Educators and teachers are guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework that guides children toward learning outcomes;

  • Children have a strong sense of identity

  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world

  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

  • Children are confident and involved learners

  • Children are effective communicators

In conjunction with the Aboriginal 8 Ways of Learning that guides children on a multi-faceted and interlinked project based learning journey through a variety of approaches;

  • Story Sharing

  • Community Links

  • Deconstruct / Reconstruct

  • Non-Linear

  • Non-verbal

Play provides all children with opportunity to discover, learn, explore, create and imagine. Children are able to ask questions, solve problems, complete tasks and participate in critical and reflective thinking, expanding their thought and learning processes.  Our team of educators provoke thought, scaffold learning, engage participation and guide learning outcomes intentionally through play based learning.

"My child is thriving, and the educators at Perridak have played such an important role in that. Each and every staff member is so welcoming and friendly, and it's so lovely being able to say hello and chat to anyone and feel a part of the 'family'.
